The Cedeño family grows the Nacional cocoa. It was the first farm in the region to be awarded a Protected Geographical Indication for growing 100% Nacional varieties, and in the same breath was certified organic in 2010. Medical insurance, paid holidays and school fees for children are included in the remuneration of all workers on the farm. Sustainable agroforestry system in symbiosis with the environment: no pesticides and only organic fertilizers are used.
